The Story of the Stupid Wagon
From Chris: I wanted a wagon for our camping trips, but Mike thought one wasn’t needed. In 2021, Sally found a great deal on the wagons at Home Depot and I just went ahead and ordered one without letting Mike know. He wasn’t impressed when it arrived and kept telling me I was going to have to prove to him that it wasn’t a stupid thing to have. He actually ended up using it many times at the 2022 Washington State Grand Design Owners rally (and we have a picture to prove it!). It was quickly named, “Stupid Wagon.”
In 2023, we incorporated our “Stupid Wagon” Parade into the rally activities. We encourage our attendees to decorate their wagons (any wagon will do) around the rally theme for the year and parade around the campground with us. Our special panel of judges pick the top 3 decorated wagons, which receive prizes and certificates.
